Thompson Economic Diversification Working Group

On April 24 rePlan and the Thompson Economic Diversification Working Group (TEDWG) Education and Training sub-committee presented a baseline study to School District of Mystery Lake trustees that showed that 70% of the people do not have a high school diploma. The Northern region that TEDWG and rePlan looked at contains 23 public schools within three districts, as well as 23 First Nations Schools. In the presentation, rePlan staff highlighted challenges faced in some of the schools in outlying communities, many of which are still without high speed Internet, which limits their access to many educational resources.
