Toward Healthier Apartment Neighbourhoods
On September 24, 2012, the Centre for Urban Growth and Renewal (CUG+R) released the report Toward Healthier Apartment Neighbourhoods. The report was prepared for Toronto Public Health as part of their Healthy Toronto By Design report series. Co-authored by Jason Thorne, planningAlliance Principal and one of the founding directors of CUG+R, the report explores how the renewal of Toronto's post-war apartment neighbourhoods can help contribute to the City's public health objectives and the creation of more complete communities. CUG+R is a not-for-profit research organization created by planningAlliance and ERA Architects to lead public policy research related to cities and urban regions. The Toward Healthier Apartment Neighbourhoods report is available here.
