Anna Dunets Wills is an Associate with planningAlliance, as well as our sister practice rePlan, and a municipal engineer with 25 years of project experience in southern Canada and the High Arctic, as well as Africa and Eastern Europe. Her particular specialty is in the planning and design of community-based infrastructure, including water, sanitation, electrical and transportation systems. Anna’s years in developing regions have convinced her that to be truly sustainable the design, construction and maintenance of community infrastructure must be based on local input, expertise and resources. Anna has pioneered the development of a number of negotiation techniques for working with communities, as well as strategies for the effective long-term local management of both public and private infrastructure systems.

Anna is a Professional Engineer and received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1976 from the University of Toronto, and a Master in Engineering in 1989 from the University of Alberta.
