Emma West is a Lead Planner with planningAlliance with close to 15 years of experience in land use and environmental planning. She currently leads pA’s neighbourhoods planning and design practice area. Her work at various scales – from Regional and Official Plans to Secondary and Site Plans – is informed by her technical understanding of natural systems and focuses on integrating leading-edge sustainability principles with community planning. Emma firmly believes that good planning results when environmental and social goals are balanced with economic ones. Emma also has extensive experience in preparing Natural Heritage Plans and Environmental Assessments.

Emma specialized in Biology and Environmental Science and has a Bachelor of Science (1994) and a Master of Science (1997) from the University of Western Ontario. Emma is a LEED™ Accredited Professional and a full member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and a Registered Professional Planner.
