JAN
ADEGEEST

Jan Adegeest is an Associate and Senior Urban Designer with planningAlliance, as well as our sister practice rePlan, and has extensive project experience in Canada, the Netherlands and Germany. Prior to joining the firm in 2003, he designed, detailed and oversaw the construction of a number of exciting public spaces in the Netherlands, the redevelopment of the city centre of the Town of Nieuwegein, and the landscape plan for the Dutch pavilion at the World EXPO 2000 in Hannover, Germany. Since joining our team, Jan has worked on a variety of challenging projects, all of which have sought to define the urban environment as a creative, beautiful and interactive space, including the Evergreen at the Brick Works Master Plan, the Fort McMurray Waterfront Master Plan, and the Quartier Viger Master Plan in Montreal. Jan is particularly skilled in the preparation of effective graphics that illustrate development proposals for use in public charettes, open houses and workshops.

Jan studied interior and public space design at Utrecht Art Academy and trained as an urban planner at Academie van Bouwkunst in Rotterdam.
