Seaton Prestige Employment Subdivision

pA has been leading a team to prepare plans for and manage the approvals process for Neighbourhood Plans and draft Plans of Subdivision for the provincially-owned lands in the Seaton Urban Area in north Pickering.  The draft plan of subdivision for the Neighbourhood 21 (N21) Phase 1 Employment Lands is the first draft plan from this set of plans that has been submitted as an application to the City of Pickering.

The N21 Phase 1 Employment Lands are located along the north and south sides of Highway 407 and provide a mix of uses including over 25 blocks for Prestige Node and Prestige General employment land uses as well as a transitway station.  The draft plan also includes stormwater management facilities, new municipal roads and open space blocks which including an extensive natural heritage system which integrates a trail network to provide connections within N21 as well as to the adjacent residential and mixed use neighbourhoods.  The application for this plan of subdivision included an application for a zoning by-law amendment to permit the implementation of the plan.  A public meeting was held in early 2012 to present the plan to the public.
