Christopher is a resettlement planner/social management specialist and a Principal at rePlan and affiliated firms planningAlliance and regionalArchitects. He was based in Mongolia for ten years, where he completed an extended assignment with the United Nations Development Program. He later served as Canada’s Honorary Consul and development program manager in Mongolia, while concurrently acting as the Country Manager of a leading Canadian resource sector investor in the country. Before joining rePlan full time in 2004, Chris worked with the firm on a number of its Asia projects, bringing broad sustainable development and social impact assessment experience to his work. Chris graduated from the University of Toronto (1987), and received an MA in History from the University of Waterloo (1990), with a particular focus on Canada’s refugee policy and record of international development assistance. Chris has led a number of complex land acquisition and resettlement projects in Africa, Eastern Europe, Asia and the Caribbean for a variety of private sector clients and international financial institutions, including the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
