Mauricio Diaz Espinosa
Over the last eighteen years, Mauricio Diaz Espinosa has coordinated a variety of socio-environmental projects related to resettlement, community development, impact assessment and stakeholder engagement. These projects have been in a number of different industrial sectors in Latin America, including mining, power, ports, water infrastructure, telecommunications, and health. Mauricio has extensive experience in supervising field-based activities, such as censuses and asset inventories, and in engaging with project stakeholders, including indigenous peoples and other ethnic minorities. He also has experience in the application of the social and environmental standards of the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank and International Finance Corporation. Mauricio is a member of the International Network on Displacement and Resettlement, and has collaborated with rePlan over two years in the development and implementation of the resettlement plan for the Cobre Panamá Project.
