
Shonda Wang
Shonda is a Senior Planner and Urban Designer with planningAlliance with over ten years of experience in large-scale park, waterfront, institutional and urban regeneration projects. With a background in social work and community development, Shonda has developed a particular interest in the socio-economic and participatory aspects of planning and design. She is adept in facilitating workshops and design charettes with multi-stakeholder groups. Shonda’s current work at planningAlliance includes the Port Lands Planning, Design and Infrastructure Study, Metrolinx Real Estate and Retail Study along Eglinton Avenue and the Milton Velodrome for the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games. Past experience includes project management/ urban design for the Alexandra Park Revitalization for Toronto Community Housing Corporation, the Guelph Market Place Strategic Urban Design Plan, and a comprehensive design plan for the re-purpose of a 200 hectare brownfield site in Niagara Falls, New York. Shonda has a Master of Science in City Design from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of British Columbia.
