Sindu joined pA as a Planning Intern after graduating from the University of Waterloo Honours Planning Co-op Program. Throughout her co-operative work terms she has gained invaluable planning and design experience in the public and private sectors, as well as internationally. Her work experience with the City of Ottawa, HOK Planning Group and MINA Holdings in Cape Town, South Africa complimented her undergraduate studies to achieve a well-rounded approach to planning. She has recently become a permanent Planner with the pA team. Assisting primarily in the Neighbourhoods practice area, she most recently contributed to the CMHC EQuilibirium Communities Initiative project, identifying a strategy to overcome challenges to improving the project’s energy and environmental performance through an analysis of the project’s targets for mixed-use, higher density, connectivity, transit access and integration with existing and future land uses. She has provisional membership with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute and the Canadian Institute of Planners.
